A Pestemal (pesh- te- mal) is a traditional Turkish Bath Towel made from organic cotton. These traditional towels have been woven for many hundreds of years.

Turkish Bath Towels are crafted on hand looms using organic cotton. They are specifically woven by women in Turkey's Eastern Black Sea and Aegean regions. The patterns and color determines which area they come from. Whole families are involved in the weaving process often it is the grandmothers who finish the towels by making the tassels.
