Jane's Weekly Detox Bath Protocol

There’s nothing that compares to a nice warm bath at the end of a long day. But have you thought about leveling up your typical bath routine? Jane’s favorite detox bath offers many benefits that go above and beyond just providing a relaxing environment. Incorporating this detox bath into your self-care routine once or twice a week can aid in soothing sore muscles, softening the skin, and detoxifying the body. Read below to learn how to create Jane’s go-to detox bath.

Detox Bath Protocol

What you’ll need:

  • 2 cups of Epsom Salt
  • 1/2 cup of Baking Soda
  • 10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil


  1. Draw a hot bath
  2. Place the Epsom salt, baking soda, and essential oil mixture into the water 
  3. Before entering the bath, make sure that the water is not scalding hot (Believe it or not, the use of hot water can strip your skin of its natural protective barrier, leading to overly tight and dry skin!)
  4. Stay in the bath for 15-20 minutes or until the bath cools
  5. Follow the bath with a practice that will make you sweat (E.g. Wrap yourself up in warm clothes and then jog or move the body for a few minutes.) 

Incorporating this detox bath into your weekly routine will truly provide amazing benefits. We encourage you to dedicate 30 minutes out of your week to give it a try. Plus, who doesn’t love some extra moments of self-care?
